Woman Game Journalist on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown

…Well, not really. But the extent to which it seems it’s my rabblerousing alone which has caused a Twitter kerfuffle concerning Brian Ashcraft’s latest masterpiece (WARNING: TRIGGERS FOR STALKING, RAPE, MURDER AND MUCH WORSE) leads me to believe some people think so.

So let me rabblerouse further. I’m medicated today, I’m in a decent mood, I’ve had my therapy session; let’s do this thing.

Whatever else may be said about Beautiful Escape: Dungeoneer, it’s an experience which sticks with you. I don’t ascribe this to good writing so much as a great hook with tolerable writing supporting it, but if there is one area where the narrative and characterization grabbed me utterly, and put me at odds with the reviews for the game I had encountered, it’s in the character Daily.
